(1) For the purposes of sub-rule (3) of Rule 21, in districts where the District Forest Produce Supply Committee has not been formed, a person who wants to take forest produce shall submit an application to the Divisional Forest Officer by disclosing the following details:- (a) Name of the forest produce,
(b) Name of the area for which forest produce is desired,
(c) Type and quantity of forest produce,
(d) The purpose for which the forest produce is to be taken,
(e) Place of use of forest produce,
(f) Copy of citizenship certificate in case of person wishing to take forest produce,
(g) Recommendation letter from concerned local level.
(2) If an application is received according to sub-rule (1), the Divisional Forest Officer may make the wood and firewood available at the price as per schedule-6 after conducting the necessary investigation in that regard. Wood and firewood obtained in this way cannot be sold.
(3) In the districts where the district forest production supply committee has not been formed, the arrangements for the local supply of wood and firewood for purposes other than those mentioned in sub-rules (1) and (2) shall be as determined by the provincial government.
